A Powerful Insight for Future Change

By working with the Selves in a Box, developed by J. Tamar Stone, I am getting a more accurate perception of myself and how I handle my life. Awareness is the first key to any change that one may want to make in their life. These cards opened my eyes to seeing the parts of myself that I disown as well as the ones I acknowledge. It's easy to perceive myself in a positive way and disclaim areas that I do not wish to perceive. In order to make a transition of change for my life, I have to accept and work with both the owned and disowned parts of me. By the awareness provided through the cards and guidebook I will take my next step into the future.

Selves in a Box is a unique and perfect tool for every professional in the healing arts field and beyond. Whether a professional or lay person, Selves in a Box works very much like the tarot cards, yet is very different. It guides a person into their depths exploring hidden as well as acknowledged parts of their being. Selves in a Box throws light on and inspires further recognition of who we really are as opposed to who we think we are. It's core teaching is who we are at the essence level brining balance to the spectrum of opposites, especially the yin and yang or masculine and feminine parts of ourselves. I highly recommend these cards for anyone who is serious about expanding their personal growth into higher consciousness.

Selves in a box

I was so looking forward to receiving my cards as I think this is such a wonderful idea. Great to use with clients. However I was disappointed as I was expecting to have each "self" described on the back of each card. As a therapist this would have made it easier working with my clients. Even a summarized version with the key attributes would have been very helpful. I find it rather clumsy to have to refer to the book all the time. Not that user friendly in finding the different selves in the book either. The Book is very useful for a more in depth exploration.Had I known that this description was not on the back of each card I would not have bought the product. Such a pity because the cards themselves are quite beautiful. I will probably end up sticking a summarized version on the back of each card myself.
