“Cooper, not to feed your already over-inflated ego, but you’re stunning. You’re like a freaking magazine ad for those supplements that give men perfectly chiseled abs. I’m – it’s not that I think I’m ugly, but I’m not some tiny waisted little fashion model, either.”

“So, you think that’s what I’m looking for?”

“Why wouldn’t you be? You could get any woman that I want.” And they were walking up the pathway towards their room, and her heart was hammering in her chest and her palms were sweaty.

“Glad to hear that.” He fished in his pocket and opened the door, and she suddenly found him backing her into the room and slamming the door shut behind them. “Because I want you.”

“I – what?” Her voice came out in a squeak of surprise.
This wasn’t going at all how she thought it would go.

The blood was roaring in Cooper’s ears, and his throbbing erection was straining against his jeans, making the fabric painfully tight.

Josephine tipped her head back, lips parted, looking at him with mingled fear and desire, and he knew that nothing on earth would stop him from having her right now.

It was wrong. It was stupid of him. He was falling for a woman who was very likely talking to her criminal brother on her cell phone every time she ducked into the bathroom, who would make a fool of him, who came from a family of liars and swindlers.

He didn’t care.

He grabbed the front of her shirt and pulled hard, ripping it open and sending buttons flying everywhere. Her soft gasp of surprise and desire sent him over the top, and he pushed her onto the bed, sliding on top of her, his knee nudging her legs open.

“I’ll buy you another shirt,” he said. “And that was totally worth it.”

And then he was kissing her again, hungrily, sucking at her mouth, claiming it with swirling thrusts of his tongue.

I loved it

I have loved all of this author's short stories and wished they were full books. This is the second book in what looks like it may become a series (buy the cowboy book first). You get to see old friend and make new ones that are funny and different. In both books you get a primary and secondary romance, along with some steamy love scenes. Please read it for yourself.

This was a very fun and exciting story to read. The plot was great, characters believable. The only issue I have is that there are quite a few errors that distracted from the story. A little editing can go a long way.

Ages 5-8. Children curious about the International Space Station will learn quite a lot from this informative addition to the Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science series. With construction in space begun in 1998, the long-awaited project will continue for several years, until the million-pound, 350-foot-long station is completed. Branley includes discussion of the parts making up the station, how its systems are powered, how astronauts put together the modules in space and live on board, and what the station will be used for upon completion. Clear writing and excellent diagrams combine to make the basics of this complex program understandable to fairly young children. The presentation of technological material to an interested but unsophisticated audience can be difficult, but Branley and Kelley have shown a good grasp of what to include and what to leave out. Kelley's artwork, evidently ink and watercolor, maintains a fine balance of beauty, clarity, and child appeal. The final page gives instructions for growing crystals, an experiment carried out on the station, and a Web site address for locating the International Space Station in the night sky or just finding further information. Calling all NASA fans! We had this book handy the day the International Space Station was in the news... one of over 150 titles in the "Let's Read-and-Find-Out Science" series that we own and use constantly! Begun in the 1960s, this series is just perfect when you want to explore a specific topic. Books about the different phases of the moon, the ways of ants, ladybugs, gravity, your skeleton.... all kinds of timeless books with timeless information presented in a living way! But what about the books about rockets and sattelites? Boy, are they outdated! That is why I was so delighted with this great new title. Generous oversized format with LOTS of detail.

My 4 year old loves anything to do with space. We have several of the books in this series and are happy with them all. This book covers many aspects of the International Space station from the beginning to some future goals. It talks about the parts of the station and some of the activities that the astronauts complete. I would recommend this book for any child who is interested in space exploration.

I bought all three of her books because I read that she is a MN author from Milaca who lives in Sauk Rapids now. As I began reading, I was thrilled that it took place in Nisswa & surrounding area with which I was familiar! I read about 2/3 of this book & had to wait until morning to finish it. It was getting too spooky & I wanted to be able to sleep! When I finished it, I could hardly wait to begin reading her next book as I thoroughly enjoyed this one!
