Years ago, fed up with wasting time and money on presentation skills seminars, I began signing my people up for acting classes at the local community theater. A goldmine for the IT sales professional

What a find! This is a step-by-step, no fluff actionable methodology on how to penetrate C-level executives, create value and fast track deals. I use this as my bible for pre-call planning, preparing meeting presentations and talking points. Especially unique (and effective) is the 3-box Monty whiteboard presentation tool - power points are too overused/boring and not interactive. I am now able to boil the value of our offering and the cost of doing nothing down to its syrupy goodness - get in, get out, closing deals in a fast manner. Thank you Paul for the coupe de grace for technology salespeople. Highly recommended!

Can hardly wait for Part 3

The story of Logan and Grace continues in part 2 of this serial. We were left with Grace coming face to face with a part of Logan’s past. Shattered and devastated she leaves in the beginning of book 2. Logan knows he is going to have to come clean about his past, but there is one secret that isn’t his to share. I am dying to know what this secret is. It has to be huge for Logan to risk his relationship to protect it.

Grace’s heart says hear him out, trust him, let him try to explain but her head is reminding her where trust took her last time with the ex. While this book isn’t full of explosive discoveries, it does bring us closer to understanding Graces family and more insight with Hope and Faith. Logan’s story about the ex-wife that Grace met in the most embarrassing situations broke my heart and I feel is the first step towards Grace finally seeing the man before her offering her his love instead of the skeletons he holds in the dark.

Just as we get to know more about Grace’s family, we will learn about Logan’s two best friends and a wedding that leaves Grace with more emotions than even she expected. There is a very interesting twist that I love regarding Faith and I can see where her story will take off from this. I feel more in love with Logan as he patiently waited for Grace to come around and accept him, to see what he puts up with from his family and to watch as he make a place for himself in Grace’s.

I am excited to see what is next for this group of characters and to watch the author expand her horizons and talents with this series. The way this one left us there are so many directions that the author could go in but I have a feeling no matter what path is chosen, we are going to be in for an exciting ride. I am intrigued by Hope and Faith as to where their lives will end up now since life has thrown them a curve ball and of course I will never tire of Grace and Logan.

Grab book one and two and be prepared for the next installment.

a little more rock and roll in this part !! hang on to your hats !!

OOOOO now this part gets a little exciting....

Logan may have been a playboy but one glance and moment with Grace and he was smitten and determined for her to be his. There is no way he will let her get away this time. Secrets may have come out but Logan is nothing but honest , he has nothing to hide , or does he. Some secrets may involve you but they may not be yours to tell. Will Grace be able to trust Logan with a secret between them or will the scars left by her ex boyfriend prevent her for being happy ? With some awesome family intervention and some serious determination Logan is able to hold on to his girl and rid himself of some demons. I loved the honesty between the two and I really just love them. they are lighthearted and there is no cheating and although they have a few huge hurdles i never had that feeling of impending doom !! Such a sweet sweet cliffhanger and again I am lucky to have part 3 so I can continue right on !!

We start in the middle of a major FUBAR, right where book 1 left off. Trust is broken, the past is raising its ugly head and our lovers happily ever after is falling apart. Can Logan fix this unexpected set back and gain back Grace's trust. Will Grace listen to Logan long enough for him to even try. Book 2 takes us on a roller coaster of emotions as our characters work on the intricate workings of their relationship. This was a fast paced quick read with great characters. The storyline is easy to follow, well written and keeps your attention until the end.The way Jessica weaves their story together just makes me fall more in love with them. Your heart hurts for Grace and then it rejoices for her. Logan is a catch and he definitely knows how to treat a woman. He does this relationship thing pretty darn good. Chemistry is sizzling and off the charts.

Biomimetic organic synthesis transposes the efficiency of nature's chemistry into the laboratory. Natural products (also known as secondary metabolites) are among the best examples of how nature can assemble atoms into highly complex structures. Therefore, biomimetic total syntheses of natural products (in which biosynthesis considerations guide the synthetic strategy) constitute the major focus of this book, with emphasis on the developments of the last 10 to 15 years. Important key definitions and general concepts are described in a tutorial way and additional chapters develop some frontier fields that may benefit to or from biomimetic synthesis. The book has been organized according to the main biosynthetic pathways:

Volume 1: alkaloids derived from ornithine, arginine, lysine, tyrosine, tryptophane; manzamine alkaloids; pyrrole-2-aminoimidazole and guanidinium alkaloids; peptide alkaloids; alkaloids with a non-amino acid origin.

Volume 2: Terpenoids and polyprenylated compounds; polyketides: aromatic, non aromatic, polyethers, electrocyclization pathways, lignans, resveratrol-derived and tannin polyphenols; frontiers in biomimetic organic synthesis: Diels-Alderases, transfer hydrogenations, life's single chirality, artifacts in natural product chemistry.

About the Author
Erwan Poupon is a pharmacist, he obtained his PhD in organic chemistry under the supervision of Dr. Nicole Kunesch and Prof. Henri-Philippe Husson in 2000 at Paris-Descartes University. He was subsequently a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California at San Diego working with Prof. Emmanuel Theodorakis. He then joined the faculty at the School of Pharmacy of Paris-Sud University where he is now Professor of pharmacognosy and natural product chemistry. His fields of interest relate to the chemistry of natural products, including biomimetic synthesis and chemical biology.

Bastien Nay obtained his diploma of Pharmacy in 1998 and his PhD in organic chemistry in 2000 under the guidance of Prof. Joseph Vercauteren at the School of Pharmacy of Bordeaux, France. He then joined Prof. J. Stephen Clark's group as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Nottingham, UK. In 2003 he was appointed research scientist at the CNRS, now working and teaching at the National Museum of Natural History in Paris, where he is managing the natural product chemistry team. His research interests non only concern the synthetic strategies towards natural products, but also their origin and raion d'?tre.

A good INTRODUCTION

I am a researcher with background in applied mathematics and molecular biology working in areas that involves moderate to heavy use of bioinformatics. I have several comments:
1. This is a good INTRODUCTION to bioinformatics. Probably a motivated high school student can understand most of the text.The language is straight-forward, clear, concise, and at points even humorous. Most important sections are covered.
2. It is not a quantitative approach, nor does it give details into the usage of data mining, statistics, or machine learning algorithms. The only programming aid this book might have to offer is some instruction on PERL. It does not talk about R, MATLAB, or any other packages. This book does not go into details about how any of the experimental procedures work, such as gene sequencing, X-ray diffraction, NMR, etc.
3. The recommended readings after each chapter are HIGHLY recommended. They are the go-to if you want to supplement the sometimes superficial text.
Finally, the book is probably extremely helpful to someone just entering the field, an interesting and informative read for someone with some experience, but a waste of time for anybody with more experience.

Watchers is a retelling of the Frankenstein theme with a twist: two creatures, quite different from each other, roam the land. Two animals who are unlike any other animals as a result of DNA research escape from a top-secret laboratory. One is divinely inspiring, engendering love and caring. The other is a hellish nightmare that leaves unspeakable slaughter in its wake. The two creatures and a supporting cast of charactersa government agent, a hired killer, a decent recluse, and a lonely womanare inevitably brought together in a climactic and satisfying showdown. While the plot developments occasionally seem a bit forcedthis is one book that could actually have profited by some extra lengththe shortcomings are minor. The Best You Can Get

This is the first novel I ever read written by Koontz, and to this day I must confess that it is still my favorite. Indeed, it may very well be my favorite book of all time.
The strength of the story, of course, lies with "Einstein", and his interaction with the other characters in the story. I'm not a dog lover by any stretch of the imagination, but I fell for this dog deeply. Koontz does a brilliant job of describing Einstein's feelings (read the book and this statment will make more sense, I assure you), so as you begin to view the dog as a human. It happens so gradually through the novel that you don't even realize it till it's too late.
The main theme of this book is LOYALTY. Not just with Einstein and the other characters, but more so with the humans he comes into contact with. I'm not sure if Koontz is a dog lover or not, but he sure made one out of me!
I have read this book more times than I care to mention, and each time I am still filled with the same emotions at the same incerpts on the same pages...This novel is indeed THAT powerful. Regardless of whether you enjoy pets or not, do yourself a favor, and read this novel.

Starts out great, but as character development progresses, the story loses credibility.

This books starts out great! The characters and plot are very interesting; however, the story while believable at first, ends up being pretty far-fetched, especially with some of the "dialog" from one particular character. The story would have been better if the author didn't go overboard in the development of one particular character. While the book is entertaining at first, I lost interest three-quarters of the way through it and had difficulty finishing it because the story became so unbelievable. This was the first Dean Koontz book I've read and may be my last, especially since he claims that it is his best work so far.

Spoiler alert! This book has made it to my top 10 most favorite books of all times. A genetically engineered golden retriever with the intelligence of a human being, who communicates with alphabet blocks or computer keyboard, what more do you need in a story? Oh, perhaps the fact that, this little pooch also acted as the matchmaker for the two main characters in this book. It broke my heart that he almost died with distemper and almost killed by the outsider at the end; but the story did have a happy ending.

It's still Tezuka, but sloppily produced

Even bad Tezuka is great comics, and Triton isn't bad - sort of a teen angsty version of Astro Boy, but an ongoing narrative instead of short episodes. Tezuka's a master of his craft, and even an average story concept is executed beautifully under his pen.

But man, the localization is shoddy. I'm halfway through volume one and I've counted three typos so far, the 10th and 11th chapter titles are mixed up in the index, and some dialogue is just bizarrely translated and/or unexplained. I know Triton was crowd-funded, but was it crowd-edited as well?

I'm not sure I want more localized Tezuka if it isn't done more professionally.

This is a great medium length epic about the war between the land ...

If you are a fan of tezuka you will be a fan of Triton. This is a great medium length epic about the war between the land and the sea. I loved reading this book as much as any other of Tezuka's manga. There are some creepy characters, mermaids, baby mermaids, talking dolphins, living islands and more. An epic tale about struggle for control of the earth and Triton is caught in the middle.

Another Tezuka great

Tezuka is one of my favorite manga artists/writers. In fact one of my overall favorites. I have not read anything of him yet that has not been very clever and well written. Triton of the sea is no exception. Maybe not his very, very best, but with its mixture of myths, humor, environmental issues, imagination and thrills it is a great read. Highly recommended
